Panama Papers - Terms of References to PM by Khursheed Shah

ISLAMABAD – Mr. Khursheed Shah Leader of Opposition in National Assembly has forwarded the terms
of references to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that were jointly compiled by the opposition parties for probe
over Panama leaks.

Khursheed Shah moved a one-page letter, attaching the ToRs, to the prime minister as per a private
TV channel. He has demanded that the prime minister should agree with opposition’s terms of
references. He has also forwarded the ToRs to Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed during a
special meeting with him.

The opposition leader said on behalf of opposition that a dialogue with the government upon
the ToRs should be made in regards to the commission, formed to probe Panama leaks.

Govt to take allies in confidence 

In contrary to the foregoing ToRs by opposition Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has rejected the demands
over the enquiry of Panama leaks and to tale allies in confidence over ToRs presented by the opposition.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif after longish consultations with political colleagues and legal experts
declared the government’s ToRs concrete.

Earlier, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the ToRs framed by the opposition parties for
the judicial commission on the Panama leaks reflective of their negative intentions and it seemed that
their focus was on the prime minister alone.
